My name is Sinéad Lucey and I am a qualified translator (French/Spanish) specialising mainly in the fields of law, finance and technology.

I hold a BA in Applied Language and Translation Studies from Dublin City University, Ireland, and an MA in Translation and Professional Language Skills from the University of Bath, United Kingdom.

Previously, I have worked as a translation and editing intern at the International Maritime Organization, the United Nations specialized agency with responsibility for the safety and security of shipping and the prevention of marine pollution by ships. I have also worked as a freelance editor and translator for the United Nations.

I worked also as a translator at Temple Translations, the world's leading agency in legal and financial translation, in London, translating legal and financial documents from French & Spanish into English.

I have extensive experience in working as a freelance translator - I currently worked with several translation agencies in Ireland, the United Kingdom and Europe.

I have worked as a liaison interpreter in court and in hospital settings, and have been involved in translating for several Irish semi-State and State agencies. I also translate from French, Spanish and English into Irish, and offer Irish-English translation services.
