English term

Mentee

English to French Other International Org/Dev/Coop training for NGO
Hello

This is in the same context that my previous question.

The context is about putting a mentor with a mentee, I was thinking "protégé", but as it is in a NGO context so I am not sure it fits very well.

Here are some paragraphs where the term "mentee" appears:

"Similarly, countries may opt to implement intra-point of service mentor-mentee pairing in a majority of local governance areas, but implement inter-point of service mentorship in more remote or sparsely staffed geographies"

"Facilitate inspiring mentorship opportunities by mindfully pairing your mentors and mentees so their strengths and weaknesses balance one another."

Thank you for the help.

mentoré(e)

The mentee is the person being mentored. That would be la personne mentorée if you keep 'mentor' in French. See Wiktionary.

agree Magali Barbet (X) : Oui, c’est un binôme mentor / mentoré(e), et il est préférable de garder "apprenant" pour traduire "learner" :-)
