Danish term
konkurrere efter
Danish to English
Marketing
Marketing
Company strategy
Pro question because of context:
Can anyone tell me whether this should be 'compete with'? It's used repeatedly, but the Danish doesn't make it obvious (to me at any rate) whether it should be 'compete with' or compete [something else].
Example sentence:
Vi vurderer at xx konkurrerer efter en komplet kundeloesningsstrategi (sorry, can't remember how to reproduce the symbol).
I think what they mean is 'offer competition by means of...', but I'm not used to seeing 'efter'.
Advice appreciated!

Comment: "Thanks, Orbital - Christine also put it nicely, but this is the fundamental meaning that can be reworded (e.g. Christine's answer)."

follow a ... strategy for competition
Could it be that they have a strategy centred on one-stop solutions ...
I think the idea is 'We assume that xx's competitive strategy is based on total solutions for customers'
But it doesn't seem to be the most elegant Danish, admittedly.
