English term

clear down / clearing down

English to French Tech/Engineering Telecom(munications)
The paragraph is : "If multiple Ring Switch Handling is disabled, then if the MS-SPRING Manager receives a Ring Switch request when another Ring Switch is active on the ring, it handles this as a clear down to No Request conditions. In this case, clearing down will leave unprotected failures in the ring. The MS-SPRING Manager will raise the new protection switch status event - 'No Request'. However it also raises a Multiple Multiplex Section Fail." Thank you for your help.

I'm not at all sure of myself in this particular context, but in lots of other signals contexts, this is the sort of term that is often used with a broadly similar meaning.

I've no idea how you would be able to turn the verb into the noun forms you need, but I'm sure you could turn the sentence round if need be to work it in.

Mourad, I think Gilles is right, I believe I have mis-interpreted your context. If it's not too late, please correct your translation, and if you are able to, un-accept this answer. The glossary will need correcting later...
