English term

indentured servitude

English to Slovak Law/Patents Law: Contract(s)
Although I understand the concept, I don't know how to translate it in Slovak. Here is a definition from Wikipedia:
An indentured servant (also called a bonded laborer) is a labourer under contract to work for an employer for a specific amount of time, usually two to seven years, to pay off a passage to a new country or home. Typically the employers provided little if any monetary remuneration; however, they were responsible for accommodation, food, other essentials, and training.

And here is context from the translated text:
They were trafficked into the country for sexual exploitation, forced marriage, and indentured servitude in domestic service or businesses.

Branislav Húska (asker) Sep 27, 2007:
it is in China in present days
Maria Chmelarova Sep 26, 2007:
? z hladiska historickeho....alebo v dnesnom modernom svete ?, v ktorej krajine?
Radovan Pletka Sep 26, 2007:
The only way to translate it into Slovak would be to describe it in detail as a modern form of slavery.

neutral Igor Liba : Typically the employers provided little if any monetary remuneration; however, they were responsible for accommodation, food, other essentials, and training - to nie je typicke pre nevoľníctvo

je to iba tip - ak pocas pisania odpovede neviem ci ide o sucasnost alebo alebo o minulost tak si nemyslim ze preklad je zavadzajuci. lepsie su konstruktivne komentare ktore urcite pomozu viac.
