à l'est toute !
French to English
Tech/Engineering
Ships, Sailing, Maritime
Following a tactical change of course in a yacht race.
I know what this is, but I'm suffering from Translator's block!
I've been turning it over and over and nothing seems to be coming out of my brain!
I've seen it on films for ships and submarines - I just can't think of it.

: Short, sharp and to the point : a race is no place to bother about one or two degrees here or there :)

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer.
Comment: "Very difficult to grade this one - in addition it was an urgent job - I wasn't happy with eastward ho, nor hard to leeward, and since this answer came in quickly and helped me make my decision, the points go to this one. Many thanks to everyone! "

Onwards east!
Hello,
This could be said in any race, couldn't it (marathon, boating)?
The French expression is not specific to boating per se.
I hope this helps.
