"installed close to the motor" would not work as an adjectival phrase preceding "MOVIMOT" in the sentence you posted, obviously, so remote or even "detached" gets the same idea across.

: Yes, remote and separate are the words used by the manufacturer SEW. In this context abgesetzt and motornah are equivalents. If the motor itself is out of direct reach, the switch needs to be within reach.
