German term

ab Werk eingebaut

German to English Tech/Engineering Medical: Instruments microscopes
Hello ProZers!

I am translating a newsletter from a microscope manufacturer and I am not sure about this term.

The context:

Does "ab Werk eingebaut" mean "factory-installed"? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

agree milinad : although I would prfere to use assembled rather than installed because normally installation of any equipment is at the site where it would be used not at the point of manufactured. Equipment can be assembled ex factory and then installed at site
