I agree with Nicole. The pdf also repeatedly uses 'Anschnitt' in just this way.

Nur mein bescheidener Verlagshinweis: "Anschnitt" hier paßt drucktechnisch. Er beschreibt - grob gesagt - den notwendigen Überstand für die spätere Beschneidung des papiers. Kenne den engl. Ausdruck aber nicht. Grüße.

I am wondering if this is a typo for "Anschnitt" (then it would make perfect sense, BTW.) It's a typo anyway, "Ausschnitt" is written with 2 "s".
