I can't say too much, but we are dealing with a pelvic interface device with a brace for partially girding the patient's body for connection to an exoskeleton.

curved/arched wings
I found this reference which uses wings:
https://www.spine-health.com/treatment/alternative-care/type...
orthoses are similar in how they are worn and put on, and consist of a few key parts, including:
Medical illustration of a rigid brace and the different parts of the brace highlighted. Save
Key Components of a Back Brace
The two “wings,” or sides of the brace, are made of a flexible or sturdy material that wraps around the torso and connects over the abdomen or sides. In some cases, these wings may include additional elements that provide stability and limit movements at the sides of the torso, such as additional panels in rigid braces, or vertical metal or plastic stays in flexible braces.
Perhaps curved (arched?) straps would also work.

Glad it helped;)

I hate you, Lisa. I've been looking for something like this all day, and you come up with the answer without batting an eyelid. Amongst other things, your source confirms that all my other terminology is correct. So, wings it is. |
