Discussion

casey (asker) Mar 30, 2009:
Well, then I'm not alone, so I can ask the client. :)
Yuki Okada Mar 30, 2009:
They I don't know what they are. The only people that I canthink of making more money than 役付役員 are president and CEO. But if they are separately listed, who are those mysterious super directors?
casey (asker) Mar 30, 2009:
These are apparently above the 役付役員 because they make more money. That's the only information I have, though. They are just mentioned in passing. The 役付役員, in turn, make more money than the external directors.
Yuki Okada Mar 30, 2009:
i just answered your other question and suggested "senior" members of the board for 役付役員, but this one is puzzling. It tends to read 取締役に付く役員associate director for a director?

Representative directors

According to Wiki, "役付取締役" is "社長や会長、副社長、専務、常務等の肩書きを有する取締役、いわゆる役付取締役は代表権を持つ(つまり代表取締役である)ことが多い。"
http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/代表取締役

And the following page mentions,"At least one director is designated as a representative director (代表取締役 daihyō torishimariyaku?), holds the corporate seal and is empowered to represent the company in transactions. "
