日本語 term
メカ, カムデータ
日本語 から 英語
技術/工学

This is from a technical manual for a software product. (The client sent me an excerpt with very little context or reference material).
I'm having trouble with the terms メカ and カムデータ in the portion below.

mechanism or mechanical ... , cam data
OK, so the full sentence is this (Shift-JIS encoding, and I changed the hankaku katakana to zenkaku, hopefully it will show up OK):
処置:再度メカ機構編集で変換と上書き保存を実行後、カムデータの書込みを行なってください。
What you need here is 「メカ機構」, which is mechanical structure, or mechanism shortly.
メカ=mechanism, mechanical (depending on what comes after this).
Since you don't have any context, I can only guess here, that it is a design software, with an editing function 「メカ機構編集」, where you can make modifications to the mechanism, (or to the structure/design of the mechanism, if you want to be very precise).
As for 「カムデータ」, this is tricky without context.
As another answerer thought, it may stand for CAM (from CAD/CAM), but it could very well refer to a "cam", a special mechanical structure, object . Please take a look at the website at the first address, it talks about cams.
So, cam-data could be the data for this cam, but I cannot say for sure without more context. Maybe you can figure it out from the text.
The first half of the sentence that talks about modifying the mechanical structure could also refer to the structure of this cam.
Again, without more context, we are left to guessing.

Well, it turned out mojibake for me, too...
Anyway, the key expression that got garbled is:
メカ機構¥編集
めかきこうへんしゅう
meka-kikou-henshuu
処置:再度メカ機構編集で変換と上書き保存を実行後、カムデータの書込みを行なってください。

: Is it possible that it is ・皈ォオ。ケス, instead of ・癸シ・ォ。シオ。ケス。ゥ。。Google returned some sites with 。ヨ・皈ォオ。ケス。ラ.... Could it be "editing of mechanical structure" ?

: maker is definitely wrong. It would be either ・皓`・ォゥ` or ・皓`・ォ。「if katakana is used, but most likely for "maker" is kanji, such as ムuヤ

Discussion
I am especially interested in the full sentence (that has some mojibake, too). I suspect you are looking for Ҷ@ (meka-ki).
