medical product insert
I am translating a product insert that has essência de licor de abadia - I am not familiar with abadia as anything other than abbey. Does anyone know of a fruit or plant that might be abadia, or alternatively if "licor de abadia" is some definitive formula developed by some abbey.
Thanks to all!

Today, the abbey again is a monastery for the Benedictine monks and accommodates the youth hostel St. Maurus, the restaurant “Abtei-Stuben”, a hotel and a book and art store. A well-known product of the monastery is the traditional abbey liquor, which is produced according to a centuries-old recipe.

The fabulous history of Benedictine began during the Renaissance when a Venetian monk at the Abbey of Fécamp , Dom Bernardo Vincelli, crea-ted an elixir from 27 plants & spices from the 4 corners of the globe. This elixir was highly regarded in the court of King François I, and the drink, which by now has become famous, was produced by the Benedictine monks up until the end of the 18th century.

Benedictine is a judicious blend of the recipes created by Dom Bernardo Vincelli and by Alexandre Le Grand. It is made up of 27 plants and spices which come from the four corners of the globe. Angelica, hyssop, juniper, myrrh, saffron, aloe, arnica, cinnamon…(the full list is a closely guarded secret!) give Benedictine its unique flavour. Benedictine has always been made with a unique savoir-faire and has a quality beyond reproach, thanks to its lengthy production process. It is distilled in copper stills and then aged in oak casks in the dark Palace cellars… Benedictine is the embodiment of refined luxury liqueurs,
