Portuguese term

Arranjar testo para qualquer panela

Portuguese to English Other Religion
The following is the phrase from the text: ao “penedo do casamento” e, segundo a lenda, conseguem “arranjar testo para qualquer panela”.

The context is describing a tradition where single individuals hike to a special rock.

It seems to be some sort of saying or idiom, but I can't figure out how to translate it.

Any help would be great!

Vitor Pinteus Jul 16, 2014:
The expression "Arranjar testo/tampa para qualquer panela"/"Arranging cover/lid for any pan" means "Arranging spouse for anyone": people who want to marry go to the "wedding boulder/crag" ask for help to find them a spouse.

Se uns vão pedir ao santo cura para quistos, verrugas, doenças de pele ou infertilidade, outros não deixarão de procurar o penedo do casamento, que, segundo a lenda, consegue "arranjar testo para qualquer panela", tudo dependendo da perícia de quem quer casar.

É um provérbio africano: testo é tampa de panela e as mulheres costumam escrever textos nelas. Acredito que na referência o sentido é metafórico.
