: John is correct - no hyphen when write off is a verb. Write-off is a noun.// Mario, you totally misunderstood my comment. You cannot use the hyphen when "write off" is used as a verb. I made no comment on the difference beytween baixa and encerramento.

Sorry but, baixa = write-off. Close-out = encerramento. Ok to exclude the hyphen, nevertheless using the correct term. I got that, Jack, and said "OK" to exclude the hyphen (agreed with it). And I thought you agreed with Robert instead of John. Sorry.
