"Uncappings"
This website uses the term "uncappings" to describe the wax cap once it has been removed from the honey:
"Each cell of the comb containing honey is sealed-off with a wax cap made by the bees. The first thing the beekeeper must do is to remove the wax caps, either with a preheated knife or an automated uncapper. Automated uncapping machines use moving chains or bristles to create friction which removes the caps. The wax that is removed (known as UNCAPPINGS) is then heated and slowly drained of honey, and later used in beeswax production. "

Example sentence:
"Cap Placement - The genetics of the colony's bees dictate how that WAX CAP is placed on that cell of honey. Some will lay that wax cap directly on the surface of the honey. ..."
"On a completely filled frame, the cells will be capped by the bees for storage – that is, each cell containing honey will be sealed with a CAP made of WAX."

uncappings
The removed bits of wax, called uncappings, are rich in honey which can be slowly drained off with the help of some heating.
