AMOLYNTOS (A Patimilor) este un tip iconografic datand din secolul al XIV-lea. In partea superioara sunt reprezentati doi ingeri, tinand uneltele Patimilor. Maica Domnului Il tine pe Prunc pe bratul drept, iar Acesta ii cuprinde mana stanga cu ambele maini, privind cu uimire si teama spre ingeri. Capul Maicii Domnului este usor inclinat, iar privirea ei exprima durere.
