If you have a 2-in 1 product or if you don't, what on earth is бальзам in such a context? Is it a conditioner or it is balsam or is it both?
Thanks in advance.

Short answer: FWIW, бальзам is conditioner if no кондиционер is also offered.
Long answer:
1. If you have a 2-in 1 product
check if the producer also offers шампунь и кондиционер or шампунь и бальзам+кондиционер in addition to шампунь и бальзам; if they don't then бальзам is conditioner, otherwise there are balsam and conditioner.
2. if you don't
check if the producer also offers кондиционер; if they don't, then бальзам is conditioner, otherwise there are balsam and conditioner.
balsam is sometimes balm as a rhetoric device.
Because hair care terminology is, well, what it is, see, e.g. http://2.ly/cdwj

Note from asker:
Thank you. I never knew it all could be so complicated. Personally, I keep it simple. No small wonder that I would be confused. |
