: Leaven was born in Heaven. Although it is a perfectly correct word, academically speaking, it is not used anywhere outside the bible and churches. Not appropriate for a menu item.

: Oh dear, you are so close! It should read "wine starter for the bread recipe" or "wine-based bread starter." The blogger uses the term losely in the context of making bread. "Wine starter" is some yeast/bacteria that are used to start fermenting wine.

I agree that "wine-based bread starter" is monosemantic and complete term. Wine starter can also be understood as material for making wine, it is also called Wine Making Starter
