Orientar literally is to guide, give direction. In this context it is used in the sense of "as an illustration", but "as a guideline" sounds more business-like

A "guideline" is a recommendation to action, while this, I think, is an advisement with intention to shape expectation.

Also: as an approximation, as a rough approximation, to a first approximation, to a loose approximation
