English to Italian: Report published on the official website of the World Economic Forum in 2018 General field: Other Detailed field: Economics
Source text - English Recent economic growth suggests a positive outlook for the global economy, yet macroeconomic statistics mask major challenges related to inequality, social exclusion and climate change. How can government and business leaders meet these challenges?
The global economy has recovered since the 2008 financial crisis and the International Monetary Fund predicts that the outlook for growth for the next two years continues to be a promising 3.9%. Many financial indicators give reason for optimism. However, peeling back the top-line positive trends
reveals challenges related to lack of inclusion and environmental sustainability. For example, 82% of the wealth created in 2017 went to the top 1% of the world’s population. And even as corporations prosper, wages in many parts of the world remain flat. Income inequality demonstrates the pressing need for a new model of economic growth that is not
centred solely on measures of GDP. Gross domestic product was developed in the 1930s to measure a nation’s economic production and was never intended as a proxy for economic health. Globalization and technology are among the forces that demand a rethink of the traditional focus on GDP growth. In
today’s global supply chains, production often takes place across borders. Technology could further integrate markets and connect small producers in different nations. “In the future, there will be no ‘made in China’, no ‘made in the [United States]’, no ‘made in Peru’,” said Jack Ma, Executive Chairman of Alibaba. “It’ll be made on the internet.”
“Tutto sarà Made in Internet”.

Translation - English The surge of foreign tourists seems unstoppable. In 2017, over 58.8 million international visitors spent their holidays in Italy, and further growth – unless exceptional events occur – is expected this year, with around 62 million visitors (+5%) in 2018. However, in order for this little goldmine of foreign tourists to add any real value, a new economic policy should be implemented to support the development and competitiveness of Italian tourism. This is the aim of Assoturismo Confesercenti business association, that, in view of the forthcoming elections, has proposed an intervention plan based on four fundamental pillars. The goal is to support the industry and transform the renewed interest in Italian tourism into a resource that benefits the entire national economy.
Undoubtedly, 2017 was a memorable year for Italian tourism, with 420 million overnight stays, almost half of which spent by foreign visitors who produced a tourism expenditure of over 38 billion. The year 2018 promises to be even more dynamic, at least in terms of foreign visitors. Last estimates foresee the highest growth among non-European visitors, although a rise in arrivals from the European and domestic markets is expected too.

Experience
Years of experience: 9. Registered at ProZ.com: Apr 2019.
I am an Italian native speaker translator and interpreter and I have completed my Master of Arts in Translation and Interpreting at the University of Westminster, in London. Previously, I graduated from the Università degli Studi di Palermo, in Palermo (Sicily), with a Bachelor Degree in Modern Languages and Literatures and Linguistic Mediation – Italian as Second Language.
I translate from English into Italian and I interpret from Italian into English and from English into Italian. Relying on a strong educational background and having lived abroad for almost three years, I have strengthened my linguistic competence and enabled me to gain first-hand experience of the English cultural context. I am perfectly capable to translate various types of texts: technical and financial texts and I also deal with tourism, environmental and web translation. I offer both consecutive and simultaneous interpreting services and I can work remotely.
Thanks to my long-time passion for the nature of languages and my strong communicative and linguistic skills, I have been given the opportunity to gain professional experience related to my fields of study when I was still an undergraduate student. The rapid contact with the world of work has made me more determined about my ambitions.
Quality, flexibility and reliability are the guiding principles of my career.
